In terms of materials of automotive metal stamping parts, materials with good tensile properties are used. Choose a reasonable size and shape of the blank, and use punching to ensure the quality of the edge of the blank; then improve the edge condition of the blank. Generally, the standard of the concave flange blank is determined by correspondingly raising the material standard, and the punching capacity is adjusted to avoid cracking. Secondly, it is necessary to ensure that the void space between the punch and die is uniform, so that the resistance of the material into the die is also uniform, which is also beneficial to reduce splitting.

When splitting occurs due to elongation, the ideal forming quality of automotive stamping parts can be fully ensured by increasing the radius of the convex and concave die fillet and adjusting the pressing force accordingly to reduce the deformation resistance of the flange deformation zone.
